Spring Fling to benefit scholarship recipients

Residents and visitors to Benton will have the opportunity to shop for handcrafted items from local vendors at this year’s Spring Fling.

The event is set to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 25-26 in the Woodmen of the World building at 1005 Poplar St. in Benton, and will feature a number of goods from local vendors, including decorative wooden signs, handcrafted soaps, jewelry, clothing and artwork. Organizers will have a white elephant table, a first-year addition to the event.

The craft fair serves as a fundraiser for the Pat and Bobby Cole scholarship, dedicated to young ladies graduating from high schools and home school programs in Marshall County. The Marshall County Republican Women will present this year’s recipients with their scholarships during the group’s June meeting.

All vendor fees from the Spring Fling will go toward scholarships.
