Dwain W. Elder, age 67 of Benton, KY died on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. He was a self-employed carpenter and attended Walnut Street Baptist Church. He honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Army.
Born Wednesday, November 16, 1949 in Paducah, KY, he was the son of the late Clyde Hughes Elder and the late Helen (Meredith) Elder.
Surviving are his son, Joseph Aaron Elder of Paducah, KY, brothers, Clyde Elder, Jr. of Memphis, TN, Dwight Elder of Benton, KY and Joe Dawes, Jr. of Symsonia, KY, sisters, Joe Pat Clark of Benton, KY and Kathy Dawes of Paducah, KY; 2 grandchildren, Mia Jolise Elder of Paducah, KY and Kieshyrah Lewis of Lovett, TX.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Bro. Joel Frizzell
officiating.
Interment will follow in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home.
