Neeta Hale has been tapped to fill out the remainder of Timothy Hawkins term on the Calvert City Council.
The announcement was made at a special called meeting on Tuesday night.
Hawkins passed away after a long battle with illnesses on December 24th.
In addition to serving on the council, Hawkins was also the long-time president of the Marshall County Backboard Club.
