The Community Foundation of West Kentucky will be awarding several micro-grants to address two types of projects (1) urgent, emergency or unexpected needs and (2) projects that need $1,000 or less. These grants should be within one of these areas of interest:Community Arts, Educational Attainment, Health Awareness, Children’s Programs, and Social Service Programs.
Eligibility
To be eligible for funding, an organization must be a 501(c)(3) or other IRS recognized charitable entity providing services to residents of Western Kentucky.
Available Funds
Micro-grants provide funding for requests up to $1,000. There is a limited amount of available funds. Submission of an application does not guarantee an award. Grants will be awarded at the sole discretion of the Community Foundation Grants Committee upon approval by the Board of Directors.
The Community Foundation of West Kentucky will accept applications until 4:00 P.M. on February 1, 2017. Each application will be reviewed for eligibility.
Event
Attendance at the Philanthropy 360 Event on February 22, 2017 is required where all the selected grants will be announced and distributed. You must be present to receive a grant.
The Philanthropy 360 Event will be held at the Market House Theatre Annex from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. Refreshments will be served. Any additional questions should be directed to: the Community Foundation of West Kentucky at (270) 442-8622.
