groves folderNell Collins-Groves, beloved wife and mother, went to join her Lord on December 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley Hardin and Della Ann Collins of Aurora.

She is survived by her two married children; James William and Amanda Simms-Groves of Olive, and Donna Ann and Mitchell Lynn York of Mayfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald Eugene Groves.

She was a faithful member of both Olive Methodist and Benton Cumberland-Presbyterian churches and in the latter, she served as both a teacher and an elder.

She worked with her husband in their own business, Groves TV Service, for many years. When he retired, she also worked as an aide for challenged children in the Marshall County School system. She ended her career as an instructor in the Marshall County School for Exceptional Adults in Benton, Kentucky.

Her loving, compassionate spirit led her to work diligently in all areas of her life from her jobs with the mentally challenged to her extensive volunteer work in many areas of her community. She was truly an example to all who knew her of how we should treat each other and how we should share the love of Christ with all we encounter. The bright light of her love, compassion for others, hope in Christ, and generous spirit will be sorely missed.
