Avery Dale Edwards, age 74 of Benton, KY died on Monday, November 14, 2016, at his home. He was a retired Clean-up Specialist for Parkway Chrysler for several years, and a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ. Born Wednesday, September 30, 1942 in Marshall Co., KY, he was the son of the late Glenn Edwards and the late Hattie (Darnell) Edwards. Surviving are his wife, Patsy (Anderson) Edwards of Benton, KY, son, Mark Edwards of Benton, KY, sisters, Geneva Washburn of Calvert City, KY and Julia Edwards of Calvert City, KY, grandchild, Baley Edwards, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Charles "Spike" Edwards and James "Spud" Edwards. A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with David Myers and Murray Riley officiating. Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
