Mr. Elvis Franklin Inman, age 83 of Benton, KY died on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY. He was a retired machinist for Air Products and a retired farmer. He was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church where he served as Trustee. He was a board member of the West KY Rural Telephone Company and the Antique Tractor Pullers Association. Born Tuesday, January 3, 1933 in Marshall County, KY, he was the son of the late Loyd Elvis Inman and the late Bertha (Downing) Inman. Surviving are sons, Michael Joe Inman of Benton, KY, Richard Blake Inman of Benton, KY, Danny Ray Inman of Benton, KY and Russell Owen Inman of Hardin, KY, daughter, Sandra Kay Washam of Benton, KY; 8 grandchildren: Scott Franklin Inman, Sara Rose Wood, Bill Washam, Robert Washam, Casey Washam, Benjamin James Inman, Taylor Inman and Lilli Beth Inman, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Joy (Dotson) Inman and a granddaughter, Shannon Nicole Inman. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Kenny Locke and Rev. David Garrott officiating. Interment will follow in Price Cemetery, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
