Mrs. Margaret Evelyn "Sis" York, age 92 of Benton, Kentucky died on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Barkley Center in Paducah, KY. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. Born Sunday, August 3, 1924 in Marshall Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Henry Floyd Darnall and the late Gusta (Blagg) Darnall. Surviving are her three daughters, Patricia Waddell of Hardin, KY, Peggy Boddy of Benton, KY and Bobbie Watkins of Benton, KY; one brother, Henry Darnall of Benton, KY, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William Lawrence York, two children, Russell York, Ronnie York, grandchild, Kelly York, sisters, Martha Free and Betty Nelson. A Graveside Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, November 4, 2016 at New Zion Cemetery, Benton, KY. Bro. Rodney Wallace officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
