Mr. Gary Taylor, age 68 of Benton, KY died on Friday, October 14, 2016, at his home. He was retired from the Marshall County Parks Department where he was the Maintenance Foreman and was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Born Wednesday, April 28, 1948 in Batesville, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Hugh Franklin Taylor and the late Georgia Elizabeth (Newman) Taylor. Surviving are his wife, Kenethia (Reed) Taylor of Benton, KY, son, Michael Taylor, wife Leslie of Benton, KY, daughter, Amy Cross, husband Michael of Calvert City, KY, brother, Tim Taylor of Batesville, MS, sister, Judy Henagan of Elizabeth, LA; and 4 grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn and Chris Buford officiating. Interment will follow in the Soldier Creek Cemetery, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home.
