The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce in Marshall County is pleased to announce that Catfish Kitchen has been named “Business of the Month” for the month of September 2016.
Catfish Kitchen has been and continues to be one of the favorite restaurants in Marshall County for lake visitors, and locals as well as folks around the region. If you like fried catfish, then you more than likely have heard about this “fish place”. Back in 1973 the little lake that Catfish Kitchen Restaurant sits by was once a small pay lake just a few miles from Kentucky Lake, then 27 years ago, owners Wes & Judy Davis opened the restaurant that specializes first and foremost in catfish with all the trimmings, like white beans, hushpuppies, and cole slaw. Contrary to popular belief, the fish served at the restaurant does not come from the mini lake on the property but it is farm raised catfish brought in from Mississippi and Alabama.
Catfish Kitchen is open all year long Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm and Sundays 11:00 am to 9:00pm, then they close a little earlier at 8:00 pm during the winter months and they are closed completely during the month of December to re-charge for the next year. They are located at 136 Teal Run Circle which is just off U.S. Highway 641 N outside of Draffenville. Want to get it to go, just call 270-362-7306.
