LEXINGTON, Ky. – According to the Lexington Herald Leader, Kentucky’s Division of Driver Licensing will no longer mail license renewal reminders. This decision will save the state an estimated $250,000 a year.
The division mails about 900,000 reminder cards a year to the state’s 3.6 million license holders.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the $250,000 saved will go to building roads and bridges.
If you so choose, you can sign-up for e-mail or text message reminders at your local circuit court clerk office.
