Mr. Wendell Ray "Bub" Myers, age 70 of Benton, KY passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016,
at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY.
Born Monday, April 22, 1946 in Benton, KY, he was the son of the late John Wesley
Myers and the late Ruthie Gertrude (Darnell) Myers.
He had worked over 50 years as an over-the-road truck driver, he retired as a driver
for WastePath Services LLC of Calvert City, KY. He attended the Oak Level United
Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Glenda S. (Darnall) Myers of Benton, KY, two
daughters, Robin Edwards, husband Craig of Benton, KY and Angie Skees, husband Joey
of Benton, KY, four grandchildren; Tyler Edwards, wife Brandi of Benton, KY, Travis
Edwards of Benton, KY, Meagan Skees York, husband Cory of Benton, KY, and Allie
Skees of Benton, KY, four sisters, Jean York of Benton, KY, Anna Taylor of Benton,
KY, Ruth Ann Edwards of Benton, KY and twin sister Brenda "Sis" Haunfelner, husband
Paul of Gilmanton, NH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Gaylon Mason Myers, Frank
Myers, John Myers and Abe Myers, and one sister, Beth Henson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of
the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Ken Lewis and Rev. Bob Field officiating.
Private family interment will follow at a later time in the New Zion Cemetery,
Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2016,
at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
