Ms. Patsy L. Atnip, age 72 of Calvert City, KY, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Ms. Patsy, as her students referred to her, was a retired elementary school teacher in the Marshall County School District. She was a trumpet player with the Paducah Jazz Ensemble and a bugler for the American Legion Honor Guard Post #236. Ms. Patsy is survived by two children, her son, Buck Landers, and her daughter, Alison Watson, both residing in Marshall County. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Ms. Patsy was preceded in death by her son, Kent Landers, and her brother, Earl "Nip" Atnip. Her parents were the late C.E. and Earline Atnip. A Graveside Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Provine Cemetery with Lance Cordle officiating. Interment will follow. No public visitation is scheduled.
