BENTON – UPDATE- On 07/10/2016 at approximately 10:43 a.m., Officer Caleb Curtner began a death investigation. The investigation began after two subjects who were bush hogging a field behind Dollar General, found clothes on the ground near the wood line and thought there may be a body. Officers responded and did in fact find a deceased body. On 07/11/2016 an autopsy was conducted by the Louisville Medical Examiner’s Office. The medical examiner’s office found no form of trauma and no foul play is suspected. The deceased has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as Christopher A. Roach, 52, formerly of Calvert City, KY. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Marshall County Coroner’s Office, assisted with this case.
