GALE DEAN KNIFFEN, 80, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away at 2:42AM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
He was a member of the Briensburg Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, June Lowery Kniffen of Benton, KY; one daughter, Rhonda Darnell and husband Kerry of Benton, KY; four grandchildren, Garrett Darnell, Griffen Darnell, Garrison Darnell and Gracey Darnell; one brother, Bill Wayne Kniffen of Mt. Vernon, IL and one sister Betty Cullen of St. Louis, MO.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Kniffen. His parents were Haley Kniffen and Gladys Puckett Kniffen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Rev. C.C. Brasher will officiate and burial with military rites will follow in the Briensburg Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
