Gas prices have returned below the two-dollar per gallon mark for the first time in several weeks.
In the Lakes Area, prices ranged from $1.92 to 2.32 a gallon, and statewide prices are down 9 cents in the last week to $2.34, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.
Including the change in gas prices in Kentucky during the past week, prices yesterday were 39 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 0.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
Although the national average has increased 6 cents per gallon during the last month, it’s still 46 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
