Mrs. Hazel Dean Elliott, age 84 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Calvert City and the former co-owner of Wood's Florist. Born Sunday, March 27, 1932 in Hickman County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Beard and the late Naomi (Barnes) Beard. Surviving are her husband, Wayne Elliott of Benton, KY, son, Trent Elliott of Benton, KY, daughter, Janice Elliott of Benton, KY, and grandson, James Anderson of Kingston, Ontario, Canada. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. Adel Ambler officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens, Fulton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
