GOOG PITT, HAROLD VARNELL “GOOG” PITT, 86, of Benton, KY, passed away at 4:50AM Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Goog owned and operated an auto clean up shop for many years, and was a musician. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1084.
He is survived by one daughter, Theresa Tucker and her husband Larry of Kirksey, KY; one son, Gary Don Pitt of Belleville, MI; one sister, Juanita Salyers of Clinton Township, MI; six grandchildren, Ricky Freeman, Mikala Coursey, Tyler Coursey, Kevin Tucker, Kyle Pitt and Adam Pitt; and four great grandchildren, Mile Morgan, Tripp Freeman, Matthew Pitt and Evan Pitt.
Goog was preceded in death by five brothers. His parents were Fred Pitt and Janie Collins Pitt.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Elder Robert Chandler will officiate and burial with military rites will follow in the Benton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
