PADUCAH – McCracken County beat Mayfield 10-2 in Wednesday’s Region 1 Baseball Championship, like the Lady Mustangs, also their 3rd straight title. The Mustangs (35-5) have won 22 straight games, their last loss coming on April 24th to Bartlett, TN.
Tied 2-2 after four innings, McCracken County went up by two in the 5th and scored six more in the 6th for the 10-2 win and trip back to the KHSAA State Tournament in Lexington. They lost in the first round of the State Tournament in 2014 and 2015 and next week will meet the winner of tonight’s Region 5 game between Central Hardin and Elizabethtown.
