Mr. William R. "W.R" Johnson, age 70 of Sedalia, KY died on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray, KY. Born Monday, September 17, 1945 in Gilbertsville, KY, he was the manager of Red Oaks Apartments as well as serving as a missionary. Mr. Johnson was also a veteran having served Honorably in the United States Navy Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Teresa Johnson of Sedalia, KY; son Chad Johnson of Benton, KY; daughters Karen Tilford of Kevil, KY, Candy Dixon of Lynnville, KY, Christy Dyer of Hickory, KY and April Ramsey of Bowling Green, KY, sister, Marbeth Sledd of Benton, KY; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his sister Diane Johnson. His parents were the late Lee Roy and Maude Wommack Johnson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday June 1, 2016 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Reggie Hall and Rev. Daniel Fraser officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025.
