On Friday, April 22, Blaine D’Che Stokes ended her earthly journey and went home to be with her Lord.
She is survived by her mother and best friend, Dee Ann Dunnigan (Chris) and her father, Wendell Stokes; one sister, Lindsey Paige Adams (Daniel) and one step-brother, Hunter Dunnigan; niece, Shelbi Glover and nephew, Tysen Glover; her grandparents, Reverend and Mrs. Franklin Skaggs, Johnny Walker (Linda) and Patsy Dunnigan; Uncles and Aunts, Terry Skaggs (Susan), Connie Evans (Billy), Marvin Stokes (Diane), Carey Stokes (Paula), Mitzi Clark (Daniel), Staci Walker, Roger Sims (Lisa), Randy Sims (Deidra), Mark Kleeman (Rhonda); cousins, a life time of friends, and her new puppy, Tucker.
Blaine was a graduate of Marshall County High School. She received an associate degree from West Kentucky Community and Technical College and a certificate from Sun Touch Massage Therapy School. She was employed by Eye Care Associates of Benton, Kentucky. She was a member of Sharpe Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Croft and Virgil Stokes.
During her life time she was surrounded by a multitude of friends and family. She had a contagious smile that lit up a room, a heart of gold and loved her friends and family more than life, itself. She enjoyed helping others and touched many lives working as a physical therapy technician and eye care technician. She loved summertime and the lake. Often spending weekends by the pool or on the lake with her mom, sister and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 26th, 2016 at Noon in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Interment will follow the service in the Calvert City Cemetery. Funeral Services will be conducted by Reverend Jeremy Short, Reverend Charles Frazier and Reverend Franklin Skaggs.
