More details emerge on the death of Jennifer Hicks

Kentucky State Police received a call Thursday from the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office advising that the body of 31-year old Jennifer Hicks of Murray had been located in Calloway County.

A witness at the scene of the incident stated that he saw a white Pontiac G6 matching the description of Hicks’ vehicle being towed from a storage facility on KY 94 east.

Kentucky State Police are being assisted by the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Murray Police Department, and the Calloway County Coroner’s Office.

Calloway County Coroner Rick Harris is reporting that Hicks died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

On February 16, State Police obtained an arrest warrant on Hicks for Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property over $10,000.

She has been the subject of a missing person investigation by the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office since February 9.

An autopsy is scheduled for today in Louisville.
