OWENSBORO – The Kentucky Wesleyan men’s and women’s track & field teams traveled to Illinois, to compete in the Principia Invitational last weekend in their first indoor January meet. Three former Marshall County track and field team members are a part of the Panther team – Sydney Goff, Kara Kelley and Nathan Solomon.
The meet was a different format than usual, mainly relay oriented, in which all three Marshall alumni placed first in their relay events. Head Coach Tony Rowe took 30 athletes to the event.
In their first indoor meet in December, the men and women teams combined broke 15 school records and had 15 top eight finishers in the meet.
The Panthers will have two more indoor meets followed by the championships.
