On Friday January 8th Deputy William Strader was dispatched to Village Road in reference to a male subject that had broken in to an apartment and assaulted the resident. The victim stated that the male subject had pushed his way into his apartment unwelcomed and pushed him in the chest. James W. Boatright 50, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd Degree.
On Saturday January 9th Deputy Luke Rudd was dispatched to Brewers Highway in reference to a subject stating that someone had shot into their trailer. Garry O. Gordon 66, of Benton, had fired 3 shots from a .22 rifle into a trailer that the victim was located in. There were 3 bullet holes found in the trailer. Gordon had also drove his truck into the front of the trailer in the side the victim was located in. Gordon was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
