
DRAFFENVILLE – After winning the opening tip, the Lady Marshals never trailed Community Christian Academy winning 67-11 after leading 30-0 to start the game before CCA’s Laiken Vaughn scored late in the first quarter for their only basket to trail 34-2. Hannah Langhi and Briley English each had eight first quarter points.
Briley English and CCA’s Elize-Kate Carter exchanged three’s to open the second quarter, a much lower scoring quarter for the Lady Marshals, out-scored 6-5 by CCA but leading at halftime 39-8 behind 11 points by English and 13 first half steals by Marshall.
With a running clock in the second half, the Lady Marshals out-scored the Lady Warriors 28-3 getting the entire team playing time on the floor in the win. English led with 14 points, Langhi had 11 and Nikki Fehrenbacher added 10.
The Lady Marshals move to 4-0 and will tip-off at Benton Middle School on Thursday against Fulton County.
