On Sunday, November 1, Deputy Strader, along with narcotics detectives of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, went to a residence on Starks Cemetary Lane in Hardin in reference to an investigation. When Deputies arrived an active methamphetamine lab was discovered in the residence.
Three subjects were arrested and charged with the following offenses. Christy Hiett age 42 of Hardin and Ty Howard age 38 of Hardin were both charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana. Jeffrey Coblentz age 62 of Hardin was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Coblentz’s charge of Tampering with Physical evidence resulted from his attempt to destroy/conceal a plate containing methamphetamine when officers arrived at the residence. All subjects were lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center. Additional charges are pending.
For the week of October 26th through November 2nd the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following: 24 Traffic Accidents, 3 DUI’s, 4 Motorist Assists, 8 Burglary/Theft reports, 2 Animal Complaints, 9 Disturbances, 12 Investigations, 1 Domestic Disturbance, 6 Warrants Served, 16 Civils Served, 25 Have a Deputy Call and 20 Traffic Stops contributing to a call volume of 221 calls responded to.
