Please Join Kent & Jennifer Hall of Benton, KY in congratulating their son Kyle Hall on earning the rank of Eagle Scout!
For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Kyle developed “Bikes for Homeless Veterans” a cause that provided much needed transportation to men who otherwise resorted to walking, borrowing rides or relying on scarce public transportation to find jobs, or to go to work each day and to attend medical or other important appointments.
Transportation such as a bicycle, opens up much greater possibilities and increases the likelihood that these Veterans will get back on their feet and rebuild their lives.
The project beneficiary, Pennyroyal Veterans Center (Homeless Veterans Shelter) of Hopkinsville, has 50 homeless Veterans enrolled that are struggling to get back on their feet, with many more on the waiting list to get in. Recently, the shelter administrator reported that because of Kyle’s project, more than 12 veterans have been able to obtain jobs (so far)! We are so proud of the positive life-changing difference he has made!
