Mrs. Brenda June Hamlett, age 69 of Benton, KY passed away Friday, October 16, 2015, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY.
Born Friday, August 2, 1946 in Benton, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ones E. York and the late Retha (Jones) York. Mrs. Hamlett was a homemaker and was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, John H. Hamlett of Benton, KY, two sons, Jerry Hamlett of Benton, KY and Jeffrey Hamlett of Benton, KY, two brothers, Harold York of Benton, KY and Stevie York of Benton, KY, one sister, Bernita Newcomb of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held Monday, October 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Bro. C.C. Brasher officiating. Interment will follow the service in Hillcrest Cemetery, Benton, KY. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
