Corene Poe Phelps, 84, of Benton, Kentucky passed away at 7:45PM Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Baptist Health.
Corene was a member of the North Marshall Church of Christ and the Marshall County Genealogy Association.
She is survived by her husband, William Boyd Phelps of Benton, KY; two daughters, Kathie Diane Stafford and Bonnie Gail Pershing and her husband Richard all of Benton, KY; two sons, Billy Ronald Phelps and his wife Catalina of Calvert City, KY and Kevin Mitchell Phelps and his wife Christina of Deland, FL; six grandchildren, Jessica Carmichael, Gina Stafford, Briana Phelps, Khristi Stafford, Adam Phelps and Maribele Phelps; and five great grandchildren, Weston Carmichael, Regan Carmichael, Warren Carmichael, Tyron Neeble and Jeramiah Neeble.
Corene was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Frank Poe; and one granddaughter. Her parents were Albert Poe and Lizzie Cann Poe.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. David Lemmons will officiate and burial will follow in the Fooks Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5:00PM on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
