Mr. Joe Ted Cole, age 68, of Benton, KY died on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN. Born Friday, April 11, 1947 in Benton, KY, he was a member of the American Legion Post #144, member of New Harmony Baptist Church, and a retired operator for Pennwalt. He also served honorably as an MP in the United States Army during Vietnam.
Mr. Cole is survived by his brother Phillip Cole and his wife Betty of Benton, KY; brother-in-law Randy Wood and his wife Phyllis of Benton, KY; nieces and nephews, Brandon Cole, Candi West, Bethany Cooper, Jenny Darnall and Amy Green; and great-nieces and nephews, Keegan Cole, Jaylee Cole, Abby Cooper, Kyler Ross and Maxx Green.
Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his wife Mitzi (Wood) Cole. He was the son of the late Fred and Laura Lourelle (Thompson) Cole.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday September 29, 2015 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn officiating. Burial will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Monday September 28, 2015 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th Street, Benton, KY.
