A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a lane restriction on the US 68/KY 80 Eggners Ferry Bridge at Aurora on Friday, September 10 and Saturday, September 11, 2015.
The contractor is pouring concrete for columns on Pier 5 of the new bridge. This concrete pour requires one lane traffic on the existing bridge to allow deliveries of concrete to the construction site.
On Friday, the concrete pour is expected to start at 2:30 a.m., CDT, and continue until about Noon, Friday. On Saturday, the concrete pour is expected to start at 6:00 a.m., CDT, and continue until about 3:00 p.m. Lane restrictions will be in place on the existing bridge during these hours.
Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. Some delays are possible in the work zone during the movement and placement of equipment.
