MARSHALL COUNTY – Vendors have been preparing their sites for days as the annual 400-mile yard sale gets underway today and runs through Saturday. The popular event draws thousands of people through the community as the route extends from Maysville to Paducah.
This year the 400 Mile Sale will also be playing host to two television shows including the Great American Country’s hit “Endless Yard Sale” which will be filming a competition series where three teams compete for two days.
Filming will start in Maysville and is set to be in Marshall County at Hillbilly Gardens sometime between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. today.
Production crews from the “Small Town Big Deal,” America’s Television Show will also be flying in from California and will be starting in Cadiz today, working east.
New this year is also the BBQ competition featuring vendor booths all along the route where hungry 400-mile sale shoppers are invited to stop in and vote on their favorite food fare.
As always, local residents are asked to be mindful of traffic hazards including sudden stops and unusually heavy traffic flow on US Highway 68 as the sale gets underway.
