BENTON – A Benton man has been arrested after allegedly breaking into a garage and stealing a motorcycle before fleeing the scene on the bike. Law enforcement were called to the scene after a witness saw the suspect enter the garage and push a motorcycle into the woods. He was found a short distance away on Benton-Briensburg Road after the motorcycle broke down.
Upon making contact with the subject, he stated that he had been told he had permission to go get the bike. The owner of the motorcycle however claims that he does not know anyone by the name the subject gave them.
Joshua A. Fleet was found wearing the victim’s riding shirt from the garage and was also found to be in possession of marijuana and a smoking pipe. He was arrested and charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Auto, Burglary 3rd, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
