Mrs. Ruth Jean Smith, age 86, of Benton, KY died on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Born Tuesday, January 1, 1929 in Marshall County, KY she was the daughter of the late Barrett and Lillian Park McGregor. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Benton, KY.
Mrs. Smith is survived by 2 nieces, 1 granddaughter and 3 great-grandsons.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Roswell L. Smith, son, Paul Kent Smith, daughter, Lynn Busbin, 1 grandchild and 1 brother.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday June 1, 2015 at Benton Cemetery with Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY. Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:30 am at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025.
