Mr. Leon Auston Davis, age 76, of Calvert City, KY died on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at his home. Born Tuesday, November 29, 1938 in Marshall County, KY, he was a retired Electrician for Collier Electric, and was a member of the IBEW Local 816. He honorably served in the United States Army, and was a member of the Calvert City Church of Christ.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Ethel Mae Ferguson Davis; sons, Chris Davis of Calvert City, KY and Robert Joseph Scoggins of Grand Rivers, KY; daughter, Ronda Gipson of Calvert City, KY, sister, Patricia Davis of Calvert City, KY and six grandchildren, Chelsea F. Edwards, Tanna S. Gipson, Jacob Gipson, Xander O. Davis, Novii R. Davis, and Ashton V. Davis.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Ovietone and Opal Beatrice Witsman Davis.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday May 9, 2015 at Calvert City Cemetery will Lance Cordle officiating. Burial will follow in Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY. Visitation will be held on Friday May 8, 2015 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home, 211 W 5th Street, Benton, KY.
