South Marshall Middle School announces August students of the month

smmsSOUTH MARSHALL - South Marshall Middle School is proud to announce our August Students of the Month. These students were selected by their teachers for their outstanding performance at SMMS. The students are Ethan Morrison (6th), Laken Chiles (7th), and Kyle York (8th).

Benton Middle School student selected as Academic Athlete of the Month

acaBENTON - Each month the principal of Benton Middle School selects a student for the Academically Above and Beyond award. This student not only exhibits high academic achievement but also is involved in several extra curricular activities. The selected student models the schools mission of Extreme Character, Achievement, and Pride. The August winner was Tyler Belcher.

Benton Middle School students learn life lessons as they complete 'anti-bullying' unit

bmsBENTON - Students in their Social Studies classes at Benton Middle School recently completed their annual Anti-Bullying Unit.

Benton Middle Students study career choices and employability skills

hcBENTON - Students in Mr. Harvey's 8th grade Career Choices class recently had a unit over Employability Skills. Students took part in a teamwork activity counting and sorting Fruit Loops. Benton Middle School students attend open house as new school year begins

openhouseBENTON - Benton Middle School students attended open house on July 29th and August 5th. Students were able to meet their teachers and principal, Mrs. Jill Darnall. They purchased agendas, bought t-shirts, paid fees, and received their schedules. Teachers were excited to meet and greet the new students, as well as the familiar ones. BMS is looking forward to a great school year. Pictured is Griffin Darnall.
