calvertSara L. Pickard, 27, of 726 Blue Ridge Road, Smithland was served a Marshall County criminal summons on September 22, 2014 by Officer Wes Babcock for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

Nikki C. Acuff, 33, of 973 Cedar Street, Calvert City was arrested on September 27, 2014 by Officer Wes Babcock on a Marshall County warrant for tampering with physical evidence and persistent felony offender.

Paint the Town Pink event honors survivors, inspires those battling breast cancer

PTTP2BENTON - Saturday was a day of celebration for many breast cancer survivors and a day of inspiration for others bravely fighting the battle. More than a hundred community members turned out for this year’s Paint the Town Pink Event, sponsored by the Benton Women’s Club, which raises awareness and funding for breast cancer research.
