Orange Waves midway through season, several swimmers posting great results

ethandelaneyANNA, IL - Calvert City Country Club's Orange Waves Swim Team has already competed in four meets this summer under former Orange Waves swimmers Evelyn Hudson who is the head coach and assistant coach Paul Hudson.
Their season began on June 7th in a meet at the Madisonville YMCA, then on to a meet in Anna, IL on June 12, the Herrin Invitational on June 14th and Saturday another meet at Anna.


Swim team celebrates season, accomplishments, records and seniors at banquet

grantswimBENTON - The Marshall County High School Swim Team held it's annual end-of-season banquet Friday night, March 28 at 6:30 pm at Benton First United Methodist Church. First year head coach, Laken Adair and first year assistant coach, Ian Bradley reflected back on the season and all the great accomplishments.

Orange Waves swim team holding registration days

aliciamiller1The Orange Waves Swim Team is holding registration days on Thursday, March 27th, from 5-7 at the Calvert City Dairy Queen and also on Monday, April 14th at the MSU Carr Health Building pool at 5:00.
Indoor practice will begin the same day on April 14th at 5:30 until 6:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week. Practice at the MSU Carr Health pool will cost $10 a week per child.


Eight swimmers advance to finals, two school records fall, at KHSAA Region One Championships

regionalswimmeetOWENSBORO - Eight swimmers from the MCHS Swim Team qualified in Friday's Preliminaries in 10 different events for Saturday's Finals of the KHSAA Region One Championships at the Health Park in Owensboro this past weekend. The top 16 places in each even Friday received the automatic spot in Saturday's finals.


Regular season complete, swim team focuses on February 14-15 Regionals

isaacbayerPADUCAH - In their final meet at the Paducah Athletic Club before preparations begin for the Region 1 Swim Meet on February14-15 at the Owensboro Health Park, the Marshall swimmers took third among stiff competition from four area schools.

Swimmers drop time at Saturday's Best of the West

austingordonBOWLING GREEN - Back in the pool again in competition on Saturday, the MCHS Swim Team placed 10th overall in the competitive 22 team Best of the West meet at Bowling Green High School. Marshall boys placed seventh while the girls placed 15th to combine for the 10th place finish with the always strong state-contender Bowling Green taking first with 514 points followed by Greenwood in second with 370 points and very strong Murray High team taking third with 343.
