DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County Lady Marshals and Marshals basketball teams and Cheerleaders are teaming up with Ford Motor Company and Leon Riley Ford for Drive One 4UR School Fundraiser event to be held this Saturday, August 24th, on the parking lot at Marshall County High School.
DRAFFENVILLE - By all accounts, the 2013 Marshall County Hoopfest, still four months away on the calender, is shaping up to be one of the best ever.
Twenty-six teams will converge on the Marshall County campus, the most ever in a Hoopfest event, bringing back the Thursday night session to fit all 18 games into the three-day nationally recognized basketball event.
BENTON - Marshall County Hoopfest has announced the addition of Chicago Curie to its 2013 lineup and with the Condors, coached by Michael Oliver, comes Rivals 150 #5 ranked Cliff Alexander. The 6'9" 240 pound power forward from Chicago, IL, is known as a very physical player and has offers from 16 schools heading into his senior season, including Kentucky and University of Louisville. Curie will also make an appearance in the January 2014 McCracken County Hoopfest.
BENTON - Marshall County High School's Star Bank sponsored the second annual Mini Hoopfest Saturday at Reed Conder Gymnasium with proceeds from the tournament benefiting the Gunner's Magic Train Foundation.
DRAFFENVILLE - Shaping up to be the best ever, the 2013 Marshall County Hoopfest has confirmed the appearance of Prime Prep Academy out of Dallas with two big-name players on their roster.
Marshall County Special Events Coordinator Dan Hudson said that Prime Prep Academy will appear in Marshall County Hoopfest December 6-7 as well as the McCracken County High School Hoopfest January 10-11, 2014, which Marshall County is partnering with. According to Hudson, all but two teams have officially signed their contracts for the Hoopfest.
