Lady Marshals advance to Elite 8 round of KHSAA Sweet 16 State Tournament

allieyork1BOWLING GREEN - For the second straight year, since the 1990 season, the Lady Marshals have advanced to the Elite 8 round of the KHSAA Sweet 16 State Tournament after defeating Perry County Central 54-38 at WKU's Diddle arena in the noon game on Thursday.

ladymarshalsregchampsDRAFFENVILLE - Boarding the bus this morning after a rousing send-off by the student-body, the Lady Marshals are headed to their third straight appearance in the KHSAA Girl's Sweet 16 State Tournament at WKU's Diddle Arena.

Marshals season ends in 1st Region Championship overtime thriller

marshalsregionalMURRAY - It was a 1st Region Championship classic; a match-up of a winning tradition-rich program from Marshall County and innaugural season of newly consolidated McCracken County. Half of the CFSB Center was maroon and the other half orange as the two teams tipped off in the championship game Tuesday night with student sections ready to battle for cheering supremacy.


Lady Marshals win 3rd straight 1st Region title, heading to the Sweet 16

girlsregionchampsMURRAY - Michaela Manley, who led the Lady Marshals with 19 points, earning a spot on the 1st Region All-Tournament Team and named the Joey Fosko Most Valuable Player of the tournament, attributed her teammates with her stand-out performance.
"I wouldn't be out here without my teammates", Manley said. "They are the best players and I love all of them to death and we just wanted to win".


Marshall and McCracken will meet for the 1st Region title

masonwooten1MURRAY  - Marshall County and McCracken County will play for the 1st Region Championship Tuesday at 7:00 with the prize at stake, a trip to Rupp Arena and the Sweet 16. McCracken County beat defending 1st Region Champion Graves County 58-51 in the first semi-final game Monday at the CFSB Center in Murray then Marshall and Mayfield took the floor in the second semi-final with the Marshals defeating the Cardinals 50-42.

Marshall and Murray girls will meet for third straight year to decide Region 1 Championship
