DRAFFENVILLE - Leading the majority of three quarters over Murray High's Lady Tigers, the Lady Marshals took their biggest lead of the game at the start of the fourth (36-28) before Murray went on to out-score them 17-6 in the final quarter of play to pick up their second win over Marshall County and secure a number one seed in the district tournament.
DRAFFENVILLE - You have to go back 12 years to December 14, 2001 to find the last Murray High win over Marshall County, in a game at Murray when the Tigers won 70-52. Later that season at Reed Conder Gymnasium, the Marshals beat Murray 64-61 in double-overtime then the two teams met again in the first round of the district tournament where the Marshals won 73-60.
MAYFIELD - It's never hard to get up for a Marshall County-Graves County game, but the more important game for the Marshals comes tonight against district rival Murray High who the Marshals beat at Murray on January 3rd, 64-52.
MAYFIELD - Dropping just their fourth game of the season Friday to Graves County in overtime 50-45, the Lady Marshals must now focus on the task at hand, and that's a 7:30 tip-off against district and regional front-runner Murray High (21-3) tonight at Reed Conder Gymnasium. The Lady Marshals lost their first meeting with the Lady Tigers on January 3rd at Murray, 45-39, and hope to hand Murray their first district loss tonight.
DRAFFENVILLE - With just seven games left in the season, Christian Fellowship's boys are still looking for their first win and came really close last Thursday when they lost to Carroll Academy 54-50. The Lady Eagles picked up their fourth win of the season against Carroll Academy 56-9 against a much less experienced team.
