Lady Marshals lose in double overtime to Martin Westview, pick up 16th win over Hopkinsville

michaelamanley1DRAFFENVILLE - Four Lady Marshals were in double-figures in their double-overtime loss to Martin Westview at Reed Conder Gymnasium Monday. Trailing Martin Westview 27-22 at hafltime, the two teams battled to a 54-54 tie at the final buzzer in regulation going on to the first overtime period where each team put five points on the board sending the game into its second overtime.


Marshals ground the Rockets in 57-37 win

drewwarnick1MARION - Mason Wooten scored the first seven of the Marshals 11 points againt Crittenden County on Saturday, leading the Marshals to an 11-0 early lead before the Rockets put their first points on the board with 1:55 remaining in the first quarter.


Rentfrow, newest member of Marshall County's 1,000 point club

rentfrow-1,000ptsDRAFFENVILLE - On January 3rd when the Marshals played Murray High, Austin Rentfrow became the 15th player in Marshall County High School boy's basketball history to surpass 1,000 points, finishing the game with 1,009 career points.


Kentucky greats, Crittenden and Beth, honored with Hall of Fame selection

crittenden-bethDRAFFENVILLE - Cuba High School Cubs' Howie Crittenden and Marshall County High School's Coach Howard Beth were honored as 2013 inductees into the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame. Friday, between the girl's and boy's game between Marshall County and Graves County, and were presented with commemorative framed announcements of the honor which will hang in each school.

Graves pulls ahead in the fourth to beat Marshals by one

masonwootenDRAFFENVILLE - In their first meeting of the season Friday at Marshall County High School, the Marshals and Eagles took the floor in front of a great crowd of cheering Marshall and Graves fans ready for what is always a hotly contested game between two teams that really like to beat each other, complete with the sixth man cheering sections from each school in traditional theme night attire.


Lady Marshals hold off Graves County's second half surge

allieyork2DRAFFENVILLE - With a halftime lead of 16 points, the Lady Marshals looked to be heading to a comfortable win over Graves County Friday, but the Lady Eagles went on to out-score them 28-16 in the second half to make a game of it down the stretch. The Lady Marshals held on to pull out the victory by a score of 41-37 to improve their record to 15-2 on the season.
