DRAFFENVILLE - In their first meeting of the season Friday at Marshall County High School, the Marshals and Eagles took the floor in front of a great crowd of cheering Marshall and Graves fans ready for what is always a hotly contested game between two teams that really like to beat each other, complete with the sixth man cheering sections from each school in traditional theme night attire.
DRAFFENVILLE - With a halftime lead of 16 points, the Lady Marshals looked to be heading to a comfortable win over Graves County Friday, but the Lady Eagles went on to out-score them 28-16 in the second half to make a game of it down the stretch. The Lady Marshals held on to pull out the victory by a score of 41-37 to improve their record to 15-2 on the season.
PADUCAH - Marshall County's win Tuesday over Tilghman was a much needed moral boost after dropping a district game on Friday to Calloway County 43-31 and their last second 64-62 loss to Massac County Saturday in McCracken's Mustang Madness.
