DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County extended their season record to 17-4 after Tuesday nights 62-26 win over Lyon County at Reed Conder Gymnasium. Austin Rentfrow scored 24 points in the win going 12/15 in field goals, pulling in 11 rebounds but struggling of late from the free throw line going 0/3.

DRAFFENVILLE - Gunner's Magic Train kept rolling Friday following two girls games when the Marshals took the floor to play Cairo, IL, shooting 66.6 percent from the floor and 81.8 percent from the free throw line for a 65-37 win.

DRAFFENVILLE - Honoring the life and spirit of Gunner "G-Man" Gillespie, the 4th Annual Gunner's Magic Train Classic was held at Marshall County's Reed Conder Gymnasium Friday and Saturday. Gunner, the son of the Marshals boy's head coach Gus Gillespie and wife Janna and brother to Garlynn, died on October 23, 2008, at the age of eight, from a rare and incurable brain tumor called diffused intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG).

DRAFFENVILLE - Last night's Marshall County game against Lone Oak marked the final meeting between the two teams before Lone Oak merges with Heath and Reidland next season to become the McCracken County Mustangs.

DRAFFENVILLE - Saturday at Reed Conder Gymnasium, the Lady Marshals played Marion, IL, cruising to a 67-30 victory over the Lady Wildcats extending their record to 14-5 for the season.

MAYFIELD - Marshall County led archrival Graves County the majority of the game Friday at the Eagles Nest, in the typical intense, electric atmosphere we've all come to know when the Marshals and Eagles take the court. The low-scoring defensive battle came down to the bitter end with the score tied at 40-40, and Graves County with the ball killing the final minute hopeful for the last second victory.
