Lady Marshal seniors look to finish out career with fourth consecutive 1st Region title


DRAFFENVILLE - Led by four seniors, Bailey Greer, Amanda Bailey, Michaela Manley and Melissa Ross, the Lady Marshals basketball team will be looking for their fourth consecutive 1st Region Championship this season and a third straight trip to the KHSAA Sweet 16 State Tournament, but there's a lot of games to be played between now and then starting with their first regular season game on December 2nd at home against Ballard Memorial.


Marshals will face tough district and regional competition this season

boysbasketballDRAFFENVILLE - Last season ended for the Marshals in an overtime loss to McCracken County in the 1st Region Tournament that ended a 9-game win streak, capping off their 23-11 season.

Christian Fellowship ready to improve upon last season

cfsbasketballDRAFFENVILLE - Christian Fellowship School officially kicked off the 2014-2015 basketball season last Friday with Meet the Eagles and will play their first scrimmage game Friday at home against Dawson Springs.


Michaela Manley signs to play basketball for Murray State University

michaelamanley1DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County senior basketball player, Michaela Manley, signed to play basketball for Murray State on National Signing Day Wednesday.
Michaela became a starter for the Lady Marshals her junior season, playing a key role in the team's success, averaging 7.4 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game, 1.6 steals and 1.3 assists per game.


Hoopfest 2014 will feature over 20 top 100 players from all over the nation and Canada

hoopfest1SCHEDULE UPDATED DRAFFENVILLE - If you're looking ahead to basketball season, Marshall County has released the 2014 Hoopfest schedule. The Hoopfest will take place over three days, December 4-6, with Hoopfest favorites in attendance like Oak Hill Academy and Huntington Prep along with top UK targets in Derrick Jones (Archbishop Carroll, PA), Thon Maker (Orangeville Prep, Canada), Malik Newman (Callaway High School, MS), Carlton Bragg (Villa Angela-St. Joseph, OH), Cheick Diallo (Our Savior, NY) and Skal Labissiere (Lausanne, TN).
