Marshall and Graves boy's contest decided in closing seconds

laneroberts1MAYFIELD - Not since the 2008-2009 season have the Marshals won at the Eagles Nest, hoping to change that on Friday when it looked like the game was in their hands when with 27 seconds left on the clock and down by one point, the Marshall defense forced Graves County to step out of bounds and turn the ball over.

Lady Marshals come up short at the Eagles Nest

melissaross2MAYFIELD - Graves County (14-3) and Marshall County (13-5) girls met for the first time this season at the Eagles Nest Friday in a game that was close the first half but the Lady Eagles out-scored the Lady Marshals in the second half by 13 to claim the 54-44 win.

Marshals pull together for big win over Tilghman, 56-45

collintravis2DRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County has not allowed a Paducah Tilghman win in Reed Conder Gymnasium since the 2003-2004 season and Tuesday night, extended that streak by picking up a big win over the Blue Tornadoes. The two teams first met this season in the Tilghman Christmas Tournament in the championship game, where the Blue Tornados made easy work of the Marshals winning 74-38.


Lady Marshals fall to Tilghman in overtime

michaelamanleyDRAFFENVILLE - A high-energy beginning to their game against Paducah Tilghman Tuesday, the Lady Marshals were making everything in sight and in the right places at the right time, putting them up 19-4 over the Lady Tornados after the first quarter.

Christian Fellowship looking for another win when they tip-off against CCA

jordanvaughnDRAFFENVILLE - Following four straight losses, Christian Fellowship (2-11) will be looking for their third win of the season when they play Community Christian Academy (0-14) tonight at home. Their last win came over CCA 52-42 on December 20th.
CFS suffered losses in their last three outings from Dawson Springs (4-10), Beth Haven (13-1) and Portland Christian (11-3).


Marshals still looking for a district win after falling to Calloway County

nathansolomonMURRAY - Coming into Friday's game against Marshall County, Calloway County led the region with a 13-1 record, their only loss to Christian County. The 7-6 Marshals came into the game with three good wins hoping to pick up their first district win of the season over the Lakers but that was not to be as Calloway took the 40-32 win.
