PADUCAH - Down by three going into the fourth quarter, the Marshals made it hard on themselves hitting just six of 14 free throws but managed to stay in it tied 55-55 at the end of regulation, going on to out-score Tilghman 10-8 in overtime for the win.
After losing by 36 to the Blue Tornados in their December Christmas tournament, the Marshals have won both regular season games by 11 on January 13th at home and Friday's overtime win at Tilghman. Each game has been without the services of one of their leading scorers, Mason Wooten was out in the January 13th game and Collin Travis was out Friday with an injury.
PADUCAH - Trailing by 13 points at the start of the fourth quarter, the Lady Marshals went on a 13-4 run to cut Tilghman's lead to four with 1:56 left in the game. Forced to foul in the closing minute, Tilghman made 9 of 10 at the free throw line to close the game out with a 45-39 win and extend their record to 20-2.
DRAFFENVILLE - A frustrated Lady Marshals Head Coach Joseph Simmons was unhappy with the decisions the girls were making on the floor and felt his players weren't giving their best effort, in post-game comments to WCBL's Jeff Waters, following Christian County's upset of the Lady Marshals.
