Marshals, Lady Marshals beat Carlisle, girls lose in overtime to Massac

Photo- Keith SteeleBARDWELL - Marshall County and Carlisle County squared off Tuesday in a double-header at Comet Stadium. The Lady Marshals cruised to a 59-19 win over the Lady Comets but the boy's game was a battle from beginning to end with the Marshals picking up the 64-57 win over the Comets.


Teddy Bear Toss Friday during Marshall-Murray double-header

Bears piled high from last year's Teddy Bear Toss that were distributed to area children in need of a special gift.Marshall County Marshals and Lady Marshals will play a double-header against Murray Friday at Reed Conder Gymnasium. The Marshall County Backboard Club is once again sponsoring "Teddy Bear Toss" during the games.

Lady Marshals edge Owensboro by one point

Toni Fehrenbacher scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds against Owensboro Saturday.OWENSBORO - In a game that went down to the wire, the Lady Marshals picked up their third win over Owensboro Saturday, beating the Lady Devils 56-55.
The first quarter ended on an 8-8 tie with Owensboro taking a 27-24 advantage at halftime. The Lady Marshals led by five at the end of the third quarter and despite being outscored 14 to 10 in the fourth quarter, held on for the one point win.

Double-double night for Clark and Rentfrow in win over Madisonville

Chase Clark, pictured here at the Hoopfest, recorded a double-double night against Madisonville with 19 points and 12 rebounds.MADISONVILLE - Marshall County picked up their fourth win of the season at Madisonville North-Hopkins Friday, beating the Maroons 53-43.
The Marshals jumped out to a 21-8 lead after the first quarter but went cold from the floor in the second quarter scoring just two points to Madisonville's 10 but managed to maintain a 23-18 lead at halftime.

Marshals first road trip ends in loss to Ohio County

Casey White, pictured here at the Marshall County Hoopfest, scored 10 points for the Marshals against Ohio County Tuesday.HARTFORD - Ohio County was a good early season test for the Marshals, knowing they would be facing a really good Eagle squad that went 29-3 in regular season play last season with a surprise loss to Apollo in the 3rd Region Championship game.

Warren Central tops Graves, Harrisburg and Bullitt East get Hoopfest wins

Graves County's Peyton Puckett scored 18 points for the Eagles going two for two from three point range.DRAFFENVILLE - Graves County and Warren Central faced each other less than a month ago, not on the court but on the gridiron when the two teams met in the second round of the Kentucky 5A State Football Playoffs.
