Tyree shoots 4-under to lead Lady Marshals past Graves County, Maddie Ortt sinks putt for All "A" state spot for CFS

baileytyreeGILBERTSVILLE - This week in golf, the Marshall County teams played two matches against Livingston Central at Drake Creek and Graves County at Kentucky Dam Golf Course.
Quinn Eaton (36), D.J. Pigg (37), Grant Hackney (40) and Jay Nimmo (40) combined for a score of 153 to beat Livingston Central by 42 strokes.

CFS golf will be competitive this season, despite low numbers

cfsgolfteamDRAFFENVILLE - In their first match of the 2014 season, the Christian Fellowship golf team beat Dawson Springs 195-225 at Calvert City Country Club Monday, playing with a six man squad this season, three girls and three boys.


Season underway, golf teams full of veteran players

girlsgolfteamBENTON - Marshall County golfers hit the links in competition last Saturday at Paxton Park in the Paducah Tilghman Invitational, officially kicking off the 2014 season.
Led by Cayce Hendrickson's 1-under par 70, the Marshall girl's team captured 2nd with a team total of 330. Along with Hendrickson's 70, Bailey Tyree shot 77, Hallie Riley and Savanna Howell 84 and Karly Hardin carded a 108. Hendrickson was overall medalist for the tournament.


Marshall golfers play in West Kentucky Junior Invitational

baileytyreeLEDBETTER - Marshall County was well represented this week at the West Kentucky Junior Invitational held at Drake Creek. Marshall County High School golfers Bailey Tyree shot a one under par (71) to place first in the girls 16-18 age division and Jay Nimmo won the 12-13 age division with an impressive 2 under par score of 70.

Charlstyn Beard signs to play golf for Union University

beardDRAFFENVILLE - Marshall County golf team member, Charlstyn Beard, signed on Wednesday at Marshall County High School, to continue her golf career at Union University in Jackson, Tn.

Marshall County golfers win at Paxton Park PGA event

quinneatonPADUCAH - Quinn Eaton of Benton (pictured above right) won the boys 15-16 age division with a low round 73 to win by five strokes. Trevis Bell (2nd)carded a 78 along with Connor Coombs – (3rd) 78. Other Marshal golfers participated were Grant Hackney 97 and Garrett Howell 98.
