While numerous nuisance complaints have been filed, moves to utilize county funds to abate the nuisances have been few and far between until last year when the court voted to add in a budget line item of $10,000, increasing it this year to $20,000.

Water District Superintendent Bobby Gifford says this new service for customers has been in the works for several months, as the district transitioned to a new computer operations system aimed at increasing efficiency and assisting with the overall day-to-day operations of the water system.
