Marshall County Hospital expands services as new state-of-the-art MRI suite nears completion

mri3BENTON - Marshall county Hospital is expanding once again – this time in the area of services as the facility welcomes their new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) suite. The new instrument was installed this week following a lengthy offload and ramping process and is set to begin being utilized on a limited schedule the week of March 9 with a full schedule ensuing the week of March 16th.

Freeland Broadcasting acquires Marshall County Daily.com, new and exciting offerings on the horizon

wcbllogojoomlaBENTON - In a move completed shortly after the first of the year, Freeland Broadcasting has acquired Marshall County Daily.com.
The online news site is embarking on its fifth year in business, drawing more than 70,000 views each month. Business partners Sue Grimm and Misti Drew, as well as sports staffer Ann Beckett have now joined the Freeland Broadcasting team amid the acquisition.

Alcohol sales to head back to the ballot as three year waiting period expires in July

alcoholMARSHALL COUNTY - It’s been two and a half years since residents of Marshall County went to the polls to vote on whether or not alcohol sales would become legal.
In a tight race, voters turned down the referendum 53 to 47 percent (6,906 votes to 6,211.)
With the three year mark coming this July, Kentucky State statute allows for the measure to once again make its way to the ballot giving voters the opportunity to decide.

Purchase Youth Village Psychiatric Treatment Center gets green light to lease new location in Benton
