BENTON - With what seems to be bad news on top of more bad news, the Board of Health met today where they were presented with contractor bid totals for Health Department repairs by their general contractor, Dennis Smith - owner of Pinnacle, Inc.
While the initial project is slated for 52 weeks, Smith said he is very optomistic that it could be completed in eight to nine months barring any unforseen complications.

CALVERT CITY - Last time Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway went up on the auction block, it sold for just over $1.6 million.
The high bidder was a Frankfort, Ill. business woman, Sherri Heckenast, who had seen the property and said she knew it had potential.
