Calvert City Police Report - October 27

calvertJanet Uselton, 54, of 787 Oak Park Boulevard, Calvert City was arrested on October 23, 2014 by Officer Brian Coleman for alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest, assault 4th degree (domestic violence) minor injury, and assault 3rd degree - police officer.

Dillon K. Walters, 21, of 181 Windsor Drive, Calvert City was arrested on October 25, 2014 by Officer Wes Babcock on a Marshall County warrant for tampering with physical evidence.

Sheriff's Report - October 21

sheriff2On Friday October 17th Deputy Nathan Maxlow was dispatched to the area of I-24 and the Purchase Parkway in reference to a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputy Maxlow located the described vehicle near exit 47 and observed the vehicle weaving on the roadway.

Calvert City Police Report - October 13

calvertCindy Dohey, 40, of 546 Cypress Street, Calvert City was arrested on October 08, 2014 by Officer Brian Coleman for alcohol intoxication in a public place and wanton endangerment 2nd degree.

Sharon N. Mattes, 48, of 1384 US Highway 60 West, Ledbetter was arrested on October 11, 2014 by Officer Brian Coleman for possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 2nd offense, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription controlled substance not in proper container 2nd or greater offense, and rear license plate not illuminated.

Sheriff's Report - October 13

sheriff2On Saturday October 11th Deputy Nathan Maxlow observed a vehicle traveling east on 68 W at a high rate of speed. Deputy Maxlow conducted a traffic stop and upon contact observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage present on the driver's breath. The field sobriety test was given and many steps indicated the driver to be under the influence. Kristopher R. Roberts 24, of Calvert City, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Speeding 25 MPH Over Limit and Failure to Maintain Required Insurance.

Sheriff's Report - October 8

sheriff2On Wednesday October 8th Deputy Jason Ivey was dispatched to State Route 1484 to a residence where the owner reported an air conditioner had been taken from their house. The victim showed Deputy Ivey tire tracks from a 4 wheeler and what appeared to be a utility trailer through the grass which lead directly to a subject's residence. As Deputy Ivey arrived he observed a 4 wheeler and trailer matching the tire pattern. It was advised that the subject had been collecting scrap recently and an air conditioner matching that of the victim's was located on the property. Scott T. Wolfe 43, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000.

On Wednesday October 8th at 6:15 a.m. Deputy Jason Ivey was dispatched to KY 402 in reference to an accident with possible injuries. Louie A. Belt Sr. 73, of Hardin, was traveling westbound on KY 402 and Robert D. Mosbaugh 46, of Benton, was traveling eastbound. As the two vehicles were approaching each other, a deer stepped out into the path of Belt causing him to collide with the deer. Belt's air bags were then deployed causing him to drift into the lane of Mosbaugh where the two vehicles collided. Both were transported to Marshall County Hospital by Marshall County EMS.

Calvert City Police Report - Sept. 30

calvertSara L. Pickard, 27, of 726 Blue Ridge Road, Smithland was served a Marshall County criminal summons on September 22, 2014 by Officer Wes Babcock for theft by unlawful taking under $500.

Nikki C. Acuff, 33, of 973 Cedar Street, Calvert City was arrested on September 27, 2014 by Officer Wes Babcock on a Marshall County warrant for tampering with physical evidence and persistent felony offender.
