Marshall County Sheriff's Report - April 14

sheriff2On Friday April 11th Deputy Nathan Maxlow was attempting to serve a warrant on Jenkins Drive and as they made contact there was immediately the smell of marijuana coming from the residence. In plain view Deputy Maxlow observed a Ziploc bag with marijuana lying on the floor at the end of the couch. Also located in the residence on an end table was marijuana and drug paraphernalia to include 50-100 Ziploc bags matching the two bags found with marijuana inside. Upon further search a set of digital scales were located in a spare room. The subject admitted to selling marijuana to 2 to 3 different people in dime bags. Connor J. Jung 21, of Benton, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana over 8 oz., Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation.

Calvert City Police Report - April 15

calvertJames F. Shock, 25, of 25 Harlan Lane, Apt. #13, Hardin was arrested on April 07, 2014 by Officer Glenn Pritchard on a Marshall County warrant for failure to appear.

Sheriff's Report - March 31

sheriff2On Saturday March 29th Deputy Nathan Maxlow observed a vehicle make an abrupt lane change and weaving on the roadway. Deputy Maxlow conducted a traffic stop on Lakeview Church road and noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The field sobriety test was given and multiple indicators showed the subject to be under the influence.

Calvert City Police Report - March 27

Catherine E. Taylor, 18, of 661 Oak Park Boulevard, Calvert City was charged on March 19, 2014 by Officer Mike Canon with possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property under $500.

sheriff2For the week of March 17th through March 24th the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following: 7 Traffic Accidents, 4 Motorist Assists, 13 Burglary/Theft reports, 4 Disturbances, 8 Investigations, 3 Domestic Disturbances, 10 Warrants Served, 21 Civils Attempted, 21 Have a Deputy Call and 47 Traffic Stops for a call volume of 237 calls responded to.
