On Saturday May 18th at 8:29 p.m. Sgt. Eddie McGuire responded to an injury accident on US Hwy 68 W. Sandra J. Hemmer 52,

Identity Theft
On Friday, May 10, 68 year-old Bernice Hall reported to Benton Officer Kris Arnold that sometime between 04/12/2013 and reported date someone had stolen her identity and put a satellite dish package in her name.

DUI
On Sunday April 28th Deputy William Strader received a call in reference to a possible impaired driver on the Purchase Parkway southbound.
Deputy Strader made contact with the described vehicle and observed a strong odor of alcohol present on the driver. An open container of alcohol was observed to be sitting in the console of the vehicle. Ahmed Keadan 28, of Calvert City, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle.
Keadan was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

For the week of April 22nd through April 29th the Marshall County Sheriff's Office responded to the following: 12 Traffic Stops, 6 Motorist Assists, 12 Burglary/Theft reports, 1 Animal Complaint, 5 Disturbances, 8 Investigations, 5 Domestic Disturbances, 19 Warrants Served, 26 Civils Attempted, 18 Have a Deputy Call and 35 Traffic Stops for a total call volume of 238 calls responded to. DUI
On Friday April 12th Deputy Dennis Lewis received a complaint of a possible impaired driver going into Benton recklessly.

Assault
Sgt. Stephen Sanderson stated that dispatch put out an advisory to all officers to observe for a red Nissan truck with a larger male and a small child inside. The caller stated he observed the adult drag a child by the arm and strike the child in the face twice. Officer Kris Arnold was able to locate the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

Public Intoxication
On April 3, 2013 at approximately 7:29pm, Deputy Cory Curtner was dispatched to Retirement Circle in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Deputy Curtner spoke to a resident who reported that he and his wife had been sitting around a fire outside.
