MCHS Cheerleaders host 3rd Annual Hoopfest Pageant

hoopfestbeautypageantThe 3rd Annual Hoopfest Beauty Pageant, sponsored by the Marshall County Cheerleaders, will take place on November 30th at 2:00 in the Kenneth Shadowen Performing Arts Center.
The entry fee for the pageant is $40 and admission to the event is $5. Winners will be announced at the 2014 Hoopfest December 4-6 and winners will be invited to all Hoopfest events as well as ride in the Benton Christmas Parade.


Marshall County home teams take top honors in UCA stunt camp competition

MCHScheerDRAFFENVILLE - Cheerleading teams from around the region recently attended the Universal Cheerleaders Association’s annual stunt camp held at Marshall County High School.
Teams from Ballard, Carlisle, McCracken and Calloway attended along with Marshall teams from Benton Middle, North Marshall and the high school. After rounding out a week’s worth of training, teams competed on Friday for top honors in various categories.

Marshall Dance Team earns high marks at SEMO camp

danceteamCAPE GIRARDEAU, MO - Marshall County Dance Team recently attended NDA summer camp at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. Along with ten other dance teams from TN, IL, MO, and KY participants learned four routines and were evaluated on a Team Performance earning Marshall an evaluation rating of Excellence.

Competition Cheer squad earns Grand Champion

competitioncheerST. CHARLES, MO - Marshall County's Competition Cheer squad competed in the 2014 NCA St. Louis Classic Sunday at the Family Arena in St. Charles, MO.
The squad took first in the Advanced Medium Division as well as Best Jumps and Overall Cheer Grand Champion.

MCHS Competitive Cheer Squad receives Superior at UCA camp

cheersquadDRAFFENVILLE - The Marshall County High School Competitive Squad participated in UCA camp at Marshall County High School July 15-17. They were recognized as Superior Squad status, won the spirit stick and eight girls qualified for All American Cheerleader. Those girls were Charlstyn Beard, Chaney Sherman, Shelby Webb, Sydney Smothers, Kinzie Sherman, Billie Moore, Karly King and Shannon Powell.

Service on the Sidelines: North Marshall Varsity Cheer Squad honored at end of season banquet

varsityBENTON - Following at stellar half-time dance performance at Tuesday night's girl's district game against the Calloway County Lakers, the North Marshall Middle School Cheerleader Varisty Squad met at the Four Pigs restaurant in Benton where they shared a meal celebrating the upcoming end to their season.
Cheerleaders were awarded with recognition plaques, many of which have already dedicated several years to the sport, and thanked by coaches who will be sending most off to high school this coming school year.
