Marshals compete at state cross country meet, Carnine paces to 60th place

xcstatemeetLEXINGTON - Jacob Carnine moved up 26 spots from his 86th place finish in the 2013 KHSAA State Cross Country meet, to 60th on Saturday, also dropping 27 seconds off his time from last years state meet finishing in 17:23.77. Carnine's 60th place finish was the best of the day for the Marshall County team.


Carnine places 5th in the region, boy's team qualifies for state

jacobcarnineOWENSBORO - With their 5th place finish in the 1st Region, Class 3A meet at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro last Saturday, the Marshall County boy's cross country team is heading to state. The team was paced by Jacob Carnine with a 5th place finish in a time of 17:00.82. Graves County's Marcos Macias captured the 1st Region 3A title crossing the line in 16:30.20.

Carnine and Dolbee lead Marshall runners at Fast Cats Classic

jacobcarnineOWENSBORO - Jacob Carnine and Spring Dolbee led Marshall County cross country in the Daviess County Fast Cats Classic at Yellow Creek Park on Saturday. Carnine placed 28th in 17:08.83 in the field of 242 runners while North Hardin's Robert Rupp took first in 15:44.75.

Jackson, Mo. sweeps Marshall County Invitational

crosscountry1DRAFFENVILLE - Jackson High School hails from the Show Me state and they lived up to that motto, showing the teams at Marshall County's Cross Country Invitational Saturday how it's done by winning both the Varsity boys and girls races as well as taking first individually in both events.

Seven medal, boy's varsity 2nd at Owensboro Invitational

crosscountryDRAFFENVILLE - In an effort to raise money to purchase items needed by the runners for the cross country season, the team held a Run-a-Thon Friday that began with the opening kick of the Marshall-Calloway football game Friday, logging 500 miles among the team members.

Cross Country team tests their legs in first meet of 2014 season

jacobcarnineBOWLING GREEN - Cross Country season officially got under way Saturday for the Marshall runners at the Raider Twilight Run in Bowling Green. The first meet originally slated for August 25th at McCracken County was cancelled due to heat.
Both the boys and girls Varsity teams placed 5th with South Warren capturing 1st in the girls division and Warren East 1st overall in the boys.
