Henrickson wins Golfweek Fall Tour Championship

caycehendricksonNASHVILLE, TN - Reigning Region 1 girls golf champion Cayce Hendrickson took her talents to the Golfweek Fall Tour Championship at the Hermitage Golf Course in Nashville this past weekend coming away with a win.
Hendrickson won by one stoke over Diane Lim of Norcross, GA, in the field of 20 in the 15-19 division. 
Due to the cold, windy condition on the second day of the tournament, it was shortened from 36 holes to 27. Hendrickson shot a 3-over 111 for the win.

Local young golfer winning at US Kids Golf events.

trinitybethTrinity Beth traveled to the Atlanta, Georgia area to play on the US Kids Golf 7 and under Atlanta Fall Tour. She placed first in Canton, Georgia on October 19th with a score of 44 on 9 holes totaling 1000-1100 yards with the next closest competitor scoring a 47. She returned to play on Saturday, November 16th, at The Legacy on Lake Lanier. She again shot a 44 beating her next closest competitor on that day by 12 strokes.

Young golfer enjoys a round with members of the MCHS golf team

golfersCALVERT CITY - Central Elementary 5th grader Nicholas Dowdy recently won a chance to play a round of golf with three Marshall County High School golf team members. Nicholas won the round of golf at a silent auction held at Central Elementary's Fall Festival.

Lady Marshals finish 6th, Tyree 17th at girl's state golf tournament

girlsgolfteamBOWLING GREEN - After day one of the KHSAA Girl's State Golf Championships at the 5,657 yard par 72 Bowling Green Country Club course, the Lady Marshals just made the cut to play on the second day of the tournament coming in 11th with a +55 score of 343.

Choate wins 1st Region title, Graves and McCracken earn trips to state

djpiggMAYFIELD - Trigg County senior Nick Choate won the boy's 1st Region Golf Tournament at Mayfield Country Club Tuesday by three shots over Lyon County's Cullan Brown. Choate shot 68 and Brown carded 71 to earn the trip to the KHSAA State Golf Championship in Bowling Green.

Cayce Hendrickson wins 1st Region Golf Championship

caycehendricksonLEDBETTER - Cayce Hendrickson defeated 2012 Kentucky State Champion Anna Hack by one stroke to win medalist honors at the 1st Region Girl's Golf Tournament today at Drake Creek Golf Club. Hendrickson shot an even par 72 to beat Hack by one stroke, coming into number 18 with a two shot lead, three-putting on the final green for bogey to win the championship.
